Management Overview

Proxix’s management team is compromised of well-known leaders responsible for pioneering the geospatial industry by bringing many firsts to market including the first national address level geocoder. Our team has worked together for over 10 years and has experience in building successful corporations.

Several of our executives co-founded Qualitative Marketing Software, Inc. (QMSoft), the company responsible for the development of a product line that initiated the integration of geospatial technology with enterprise data warehouses. During its first five years, QMSoft generated more than $20 million in revenues by implementing its products into 600 accounts. In 1999, Sagent Technology acquired QMSoft.

Today, Proxix’s management team remains at the forefront in developing the most advanced location intelligent solutions on the market.

Paul Wray
President

Paul co-founded and served as president of Clearwater, Fla.- based Qualitative Marketing Software Inc. (QMSoft) which Sagent Technology acquired in December 1999. Wray led QMSoft, a pioneering data warehouse and GIS software company that provided solutions to over 600 corporate accounts, including many Fortune 500 companies. QMSoft's Centrus product line was the first GIS solution which could be implemented in the enterprise datawarehouse. QMSoft's revenues grew to over $20 million in the first five years. QMSoft was a leading provider of geospatial tools for Insurance Underwriting, Telecommunications, Internet Services and major Retailers. In addition, QMSoft's technology was adopted by other leading software vendors, including ESRI, Claritas, Mapquest, Yahoo, and RMS.

In addition, Paul has a pragmatic understanding of technology and its utilization in the direct mail and marketing practices, having succeeded for more than 20 years in those professions. He is the former president of Omni Data Inc., a national company that provided marketing and fundraising services to major commercial and non-profit organizations. He also served as a Senior Vice President for Metromail Corp. following Metromail's acquisition of Omni Data in 1983.

Beach Clow
Vice President, Chief GIS Scientist

Beach Clow has been developing commercial GIS solutions for over 20 years. As Proxix's chief GIS scientist, Beach is responsible for designing advanced spatial systems, which will significantly reduce the implementation time and increase the processing speeds of geospatial processing for real-time and Internet applications, as well as enterprise-wide deployments. Prior to Proxix, Beach co-founded Qualitative Marketing Software, Inc. (QMSoft) along with Paul Wray. At QMSoft, Beach held the positions of CTO and vice president of engineering, and headed the development of the Centrus product line, the leading GIS datawarehouse solution. Additionally, Beach was instrumental in the implementation of the Centrus products in over 600 corporate sites, including an install on the largest spatially-oriented database for non-military, IBM SP2 hardware. Before QMSoft, Beach served as the vice president of development at Strategic Mapping, Inc. (SMI), where he led the development of Atlas GIS, one of the first Windows-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products.

George Rebhan
Vice President, Product Management

George Rebhan, vice president, product management of Proxix Solutions, is responsible for overseeing the development of Proxix Solutions’ commercially available software products and serves as a liaison for custom client projects.

For over 20 years, Mr. Rebhan has been developing commercial software and since 1990 has focused on geospatial technology. Mr. Rebhan has extensive experience in developing and integrating geospatial technologies including the first national address geocoder. Throughout Mr. Rebhan’s career, he has held various executive positions, co-founded Qualitative Marketing Software (QMSoft) and led over 650 corporate installations.

Mr. Rebhan holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from UC Berkeley. While attending UC Berkeley, Mr. Rebhan also studied at UC Santa Barbara and the National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis (NCIA).

Joshua Goldstein
Vice President, Development

Joshua Goldstein has over 22 years of programming and project management experience. He has extensive real time and financial systems experience. Work has included design and development of financial risk management software (WeatherBook & AcuRisk for e-Acumen), order execution systems (Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse), financial metaphor visualization (American Express), real time flight tracking (Trip.com’s FlightTracker), a real time enterprise wide address standardization and geocoding system (QMSoft, now Sagent), real time traffic light control systems (City of San Antonio, TX and Denver, CO). He has extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, client/server, OOA/D, databases and multi-threading technologies which provide a strong basis for architecting and developing any modern system.

Howard Botts, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President

With over 30 years experience in spatial database development, computer cartography and Geographic Information Systems, Howard Botts is a co-founder and executive vice president of Proxix. Dr. Botts, as executive vice president, manages a team of GIS professionals responsible for developing and maintaining hazard databases for the insurance industry in the Madison, Wisconsin office. In addition to his role as EVP, Botts is a professor of Geography at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and a recognized leader in applied business geographics. He has been published extensively and has made numerous presentations to business and professional organizations on a variety of topics including hazard database development, new approaches to rating territory creation and assignment, and automating risk assignment in underwriting.

Dr. Botts earned a bachelor of arts and master of arts degree in geography from California State University and received a PhD in geography from the University of Wisconsin.
