Proxix Solutions Unveils National Municipal Boundary Database
(PALM HARBOR, Fla.) July 18, 2005 – Proxix Solutions, Inc., a leading innovator in developing GIS solutions, tax applications and Web services, announced today the release of its National Municipal Boundary Database.
Municipalities are in a constant state of change and continuous maintenance of the boundaries is critical for GIS analysis, mapping or accurate tax jurisdiction assignment. Proxix’s National Municipal Boundary product includes detailed boundaries for cities, towns, villages, boroughs and selected Census Designated Places (CDPs). With a staff dedicated to the ongoing research of tracking municipality boundary changes, Proxix provides some states with monthly updates, while the remaining states receive quarterly updates. Proxix’s database offers additional features such as Place name, Place type, State, County, Place FIPS, Classification code and Incorporation flag.
