Proxix Solutions Receives State of Colorado Department of Revenue Certification

(PALM HARBOR, FL) August 16, 2005 – Proxix Solutions, Inc., a leading innovator in developing GIS solutions, tax applications and Web services, today announced certification for its Site-US Tax™, product developed for assigning tax jurisdictions for sales and use tax, by the State of Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR).

Site-US Tax met CDOR’s high standards and exceeded the required 95 percent accuracy level. As the first certified vendor, retailers and other taxpayers who use Site-US Tax will not be liable for sales and use taxes otherwise owed to the State of Colorado and state-collected municipalities, counties and special districts according to the “hold harmless” provision due to database accuracy. Site-US Tax has also received certification from the State of Florida.

Site-US Tax is the first and only geospatial solution that does not rely upon a ZIP+4-lookup table for tax situsing. Site-US Tax compares the physical address location to the municipality boundaries within Proxix’s tax database. In addition, Proxix is the only tax solution vendor that owns and maintains its municipal boundary files. Site-US Tax also provides transaction tax information, including the lowest level tax authority and remittance filing requirements for sales tax and industry specific tax applications. The product is also an ideal solution for situsing assets for property tax reporting and use tax applications.
Site-US Tax may be licensed as an in-house software and database installation or accessed via Proxix’s Web Services.
