Geocoding

PxPoint is a high precision, parcel level geocoding and spatial analytic engine that utilizes multiple datasets including U.S. Parcel Boundaries to deliver the best match possible.

PxPoint also geocodes to:

• A layer of any feature type - point, lines, or polygons
• Geocode Surface Area "GSA" - Understand the extents in which the geocoded object occurs, or the extents of the actual object.  For example, you can determine if the entire parcel within a flood plain.

Multinational Capabilities

By implementing postal databases from other countries and utilizing NAVTEQ street data, PxPoint can geocode address data for other countries all from a single API.

Spatial Analysis

Understanding geographic relationships near or surrounding a geocoded location is valuable to industry applications such as insurance.  PxPoint provides the following spatial functions:

• Point in Polygon Determines what polygon a point is located
• Point-to-Point - Calculates the distance between two points
• Point-to-Line - Calculates the distance between a point and a linear feature
• Distance to Nearest - Determines the distance in meters from a test point to the nearest point or side of the
  nearest feature in a layer
